Playboy’s Interview with Comedian Ian Harvie, Costar of Transparent
Ian Harvie has nabbed a “plum role” in writer-director Jill Soloway’s hotly-anticipated new Amazon show starring Jeffrey Tambor, Transparent, which is set to debut on September 26. In his most prominent role to date, Harvie plays a trans support group member named Dale.
“This is such beautiful storytelling and that someone I think finally fucking got it right about trans folks,” Harvie said in an exclusive interview with Playboy.com. Read the interview here.

Soloway also sought guidance from Jennifer Finney Boylan, as well as transgender artists Rhys Ernst and Zackary Drucker as day-to-day trans consultants who offer insight on “ways to not make the portrayal feel jokey or objectifying,” says Soloway.
